How they got their powers (born with it, experiment, etc.): Born with them and inherited from her mother, Circuit and her father, Darkmag.

History: Talia was born along with her twin brother, Teagan. There parents, Circuit and Darkmag (who they do not know is there parents) abandoned them at the doors to the X Mansion and left them there. Talia, along with her brother, grew up among the X-Men and the school, learning to hone in her powers at a very young age. Professor X would not tell her who her parents were at her parent's request, but has said that she will meet them someday.
